Singer/songwriter/guitarist Craig Caffall has been involved with music literally since the age of 9 when he began as a drummer in Mexico for a school band. Almost 40 years later he continues to dazzle audiences with his showmanship and vocal talent unsurpassed by many. Born in the Bay Area and growing up in the United States and Mexico, this bi-cultured musician wows them in both English and Spanish. Caffall’s recording career has paired him up with some notable artists including the late folk singer Rolf Cahn. He has also released his own album on the CWR label called ‘Big Train’ in New Orleans back in 2000. Then he recorded a funk album with Kim Philips (keyboardist for Irma Thomas).

Caffall’s list of performers that he has played with is also quite impressive. Artists including Bo Diddley, John Mayall, Martha Davis and the Motels, David Clayton Thomas, Cyril Neville (Neville Bros.), Lee Oskar and Steve Earle, just to name a few. Caffall has been residing for the last 7 years in the San Francisco Bay Area and most recently has been playing guitar with legendary singer Maria Muldaur for the past three years. Last year Caffall released a new CD entitled “Hold Me Up” which was taken from the Big Train sessions. 2008 find Caffall and his new Craig Caffall Band playing venues around the Bay Area, as well as continuing to gig with Maria Muldaur.
