Sacred Profanities
americana / roots music / country

Drawing from the heart and soul of American music to create an authentic, full sound, The Sacred Profanities combine a little rock and a lot of roll with good ol' American flavorings of traditional and country music. Ranging from saloon boogie-woogies and tear-jerking ballads to gritty, boot-stomping country romps, their well-crafted songs tell down-home stories that engage the listeners' hearts as well as their minds.

Jeremy Wilson as the band's rhythm guitarist dutifully holds down the lead vocalist slot, anchoring a solid and diverse ensemble that includes Kirby Hammel on piano and backing vocals with his unique style that helps to define that of the band. "Great Scott", Scott Appleton, who has been entertaining Bay Area audiences for nearly 20 years, adeptly juggles both pedal steel and electric guitar in addition to singing backing vocals. Eddie Vancott is a tasteful and precise drummer that dynamically holds down the groove of the bands ever-growing catalog of original songs. Rounding out the lineup on bass guitar, Kevin Grapski provides an energy that is felt with every note the band plays. The Sacred Profanities are currently recording their debut album with Garth Webber (Miles Davis, John Lee Hooker) at his Red Rooster Studios in Berkeley, CA.

With a regular following in Marin County and an ever-growing fan base throughout San Francisco and the East Bay, The Sacred Profanities are five dynamic, diverse musicians and all-around music lovers who have combined their talents to sweep audiences off their feet and into the sunset.
