Shootin’ Lucy started writing and playing together in late 2005. Word travels fast, especially when you have a relentless schedule like they do. This reckless punk rock-n-roll band lives and breathes attitude and complete recklessness. Based out of Oakland, California, they breed energy at their live shows and have a passion for their own brand of rock-n-roll and it shows by flooring you immediately. With off-the-map, pulsating, rhythmic guitars, a sonic backbeat and street style vocals, Shootin’ Lucy won’t be easy to forget.

Their sound is both familiar and completely unique. Think 77 meets 80’s old-school roots with a heart pounding rock n roll punch! With an all-star cast of characters, a solid work ethic, and personality, this band was not formed to become another support act. Shootin’ Lucy members have been in bands like The Oozzies, The Twots & The Goodfellas. You’ll see that they are quite dedicated to their music.

This is not the band that over-compensates by having a satanic Latin name indicating devil worship and by day is vegan, grows dreadlocks, wears all black or grows beards to look tough and then calls mom for rent money. We play what we play; that is punk rock-n-roll. Ask people that have seen us live and they will most likely tell you very good things, unless you talk to one of the aforementioned metalhead goons!
