Formed in San Francisco in 2005, Solid State Logic quickly developed
an original sound and attracted a wide array of interest from fans
and the recording industry. Anxious to work with the band, producer
Sylvia Massy offered record their first album. SSL spent two months
recording with Sylvia to record their debut CD titled "Disarray."
Due to its commercial appeal, the song 'Its Not Over' quickly achieved
airplay on a countless number of terrestrial and Internet radio
stations. This resulted in the desire by Digital Interference to
shoot a video for the song. Both the song and the video have been
aired on well known music video channels and became part of many
TV and commercial sports releases. The CD grabbed attention from
Demodiaries, Kings of A&R, and other publications, resulting
in inquiries by almost every major label. The band performed several
showcases in Los Angeles for the likes of Capitol Records, Warner
Brothers, Geffen and others.
Waiting for the right opportunity, the band continued forward,
writing new songs and playing large shows at venues such as the
Great American Music Hall and Slims in San Francisco, the Key Club,
Viper Room and Knitting Factory in Los Angeles, and many other locations.
SSL is currently sponsored by Coffin Case, Thumper Custom Drums,
NorCal Surf shop and several other companies. SSL was recently a
runner-up in the Garageband Face-Off Contest out of 34,000 bands.
They are also regularly aired on XM Satellite Radio, were featured
in MacAddict Magazine and many other publications.
In January of 2007, SSL received private funding to record two
songs with producer Sergio Chavez at Jay Baumgardner's NRG Recording
Studio in North Hollywood. The band worked in the studio along side
of artists such as Linkin Park and Chris Cornell, and have released
the early copies of the songs on Myspace.com, Purevolume.com and
Garageband.com.
