Two Sheds
neo-soul / folk / blues

"Caitlin Gutenberger takes a folky, smartass approach to the sleepy murmur that Mazzy Star made famous. Think Mazzy Star on the back of a flat bed Chevy truck. Fantastic debut." --Troy Johnso, San Diego CityBeat

"Rickie Lee Jones-meets-Beck vocals put this indie-folk band in league with the best mellow homegrown groups; the effect is dreamy and captivating." --Hiya Swanhuyser, S.F Weekly

"The critics lay comparisons to Mazzy Star, Lucinda Williams, Cowboy Junkies, VU and Nico - good road signs on the way to Two Sheds, though I’d throw in that it feels like M. Ward a little in a way too. Cool stuff." --Larry Crane, Tape Op Magazine

"There are such a surprising number of excellent tracks on Two Sheds album Strange Ammunition. Gutenberger’s throaty hum clocks in somewhere between PJ Harvey and Cat Power’s Chan Marshall... It goes on and on, each song its own distinct little animal." --Joe Fielder, Raidio Free Silverlake

Two Sheds has played regularly over the course of the last year in the Sacramento and bay area with the likes of: Victoria Williams, Luca, the Chapin Sisters, Tim Bluhm (The Mother Hips), Jackpot, Scout Niblett, Kevin Secondsand the Golden Shoulders. They are currently in rotation on both Davis college radio station KDVS, 90.3 and local Sacramento rock station KWOD, 106.5. Their first full legth recording Strange Ammunition will be out this spring on UnderAcloud Records.
